Programme Outcomes(PEO, PO and PSO of B Pharma and M Pharma)


PEO 1 To produce pharmacy graduates with strong fundamental concepts and high technical competence in pharmaceutical sciences and technology, who shall be able to use these tools in pharmaceutical industry and institutes where ever necessary for success.
PEO 2 To provide students with a strong and well defined concepts in the various fields of Pharmacy i.e., Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmacology & toxicology, Pharmacy practice and Pharmacognosy according to the requirement of Pharmaceutical industries, Community / Hospital Pharmacy and Society.
PEO 3 To promote the development of trained human resource in Pharmaceutical Sciences for dissemination of quality education with highly professional and ethical attitude, strong communication skills, effective skills to work in a team with a multidisciplinary approach.
PEO 4 To develop overall personality and character with team spirit, professionalism, integrity and moral values with the support of social pharmacy and health sciences.



PO1 Ability to acquire knowledge of fundamentals of health principals and their applications in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology.
PO2 Identify, formulate, research literature, and   analyze   complex health problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of natural, herbal and allopathic science.
PO3 Develop an ability to use lab equipment and different kinds of simulation software with in depth knowledge to design synthetic and analytical processes to perform experiments on synthesis, design, pharmaceutical analysis, and pharmacological evaluation and formulation problems.
PO4 Use research-based knowledge and research    methods including   design    of   experiments,   analysis   and   interpretation of   data,   and   synthesis   of   the    information   to   provide   valid   conclusions.
PO5 An understanding of professional, societal and legal responsibility related to Pharmaceutical Industry & pharmacy practice.
PO6 An understanding of the impact of pharmacy profession in environment & societal context and demonstrate the need for sustainability.
PO7 Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary environment.
PO8 Communicate  effectively  on   complex  pharmaceutical activities with  the  health community and  with  the   society  at  large,  such  as,  being    able    to    competence  and    write    effective    reports    and    design documentation, make   effective   presentations, and   give   and   receive   clear   instructions, to treat any health or pharmaceutics complex.


PSO1 Understanding of basic principles of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy for drug discovery and formulation development.
PSO2 Understanding of the formulation parameters in manufacturing of a dosage form, storage, packaging and dispensing of dosage forms.
PSO3 Understanding of basics principles for drug analysis through conventional methods and modern sophisticated instruments.
PSO4 Understanding of drug chemistry and its structure for synthesis of drug and drug designing using modern software.
PSO5 Understanding of crude drug, it identification, extraction and purification for its medicinal value.
PSO6 Understanding of pharmacological action of drugs and their evaluation for their therapeutic effectiveness.

PEO 1 Based on Knowledge & Understanding: The pharmacy students should possess upon graduation, knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medication use and their safety and effectiveness.
PEO 2 Based on Skill: The graduate should be able to demonstrate his skills in providing quality pharmaceuticals, drug information and therapy including legal and ethical aspects.
PEO 3 Based on Attitudes: The graduate should be able to inculcate the current knowledge, changes in technology, continuous upgrading of professional information and participation in implementation of National health programmes.



PO1 Pharmaceutical Sciences Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, pharmaceutical physical properties of the different pharmaceutical ingredients and the factor influencing them is very valuable for pharmaceutical dosage form design. Enables the students to learn about different packaging materials used in pharmaceutical industry and the factors governing their use.
PO2 Unit Operations: Pharmaceutical engineering renders knowledge about the basic unit operations that are taking place in pharmaceutical industry and the different factors associated with it. This information is useful for both pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical engineering.
PO3 Entrepreneurship: The knowledge on different pharmaceutical dosage forms are imparted on students. This knowledge comes while handling a pharmacy or a manufacturing unit or in the further courses.
PO4 Design/Development of solutions: The information on solid dosage forms like tablets and capsules, their formulation and quality control serves as an important perquisite for dosage form design.
PO5 Application oriented Knowledge: The knowledge of bio-pharmaceutics enables the students to visualize the effect of pharmacokinetic (ADMET) parameters on the biological effect of the drug. The correlation of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics is thus introduced and is experimentally explained to them.
PO6 Conduct investigations of complex problems: To understand biopharmaceutical principles and pharmacokinetic principles through different compartment models, multiple dosage regimens, non-linear pharmacokinetics, and assessment of bioavailability and bioequivalence.
PO7 Effective Citizenship: Demonstrate empathetic social concern and equity centered national development, and the ability to act with an informed awareness of issues and participate in civic life through volunteering.
PO8 Ethics: Recognize different value systems including your own, understand the moral dimensions of your decisions, and accept responsibility for them.

PSO10 To impart knowledge and skills on criteria for selection of drugs, dose calculations, dose adjustments by applying bio-pharmaceutics theories, pharmacokinetic and bioequivalence models which gives technical skill knowledge in In-vitro and In-vivo studies using computer simulations, population modeling’s, potential clinical pharmacokinetic and problem analysis, selection of polymers and various preformulation elements, pilot plant scale up techniques, industrial management, GMP considerations, stability testing, sterilization, formulation, evaluation and packaging of dosage forms in the manufacture of novel drug delivery systems.
