Academia–Industry Interaction Database, Editorial Board Nominations

Abstract

This issue of the IJGP comes with a supplement: a report
on Study of Bottlenecks in Industry, Academia and Institution
Linkage in Pharmaceutical Sector. A project funded by the
National Science and Technology Management Information
System (NSTMIS), GOI was aimed at understanding the
bottlenecks and developing a database. The database has
been launched at www.aiip.info and the supplement
contains an executive summary. The most important
finding was that over 90% respondent opined that the
linkage is missing in India and there is a need to establish
a common platform where the interaction could take
place. We hope this database will serve as the platform.
There are many other interesting findings, which I do
not wish to disclose here to keep the interest in reading
the report alive.
